Our solid silicone cord range is designed to provide a simple, highly reliable sealing and fabrication material suitable for use across industrial, food-grade, and specialist engineering applications.
Manufactured from high-quality silicone rubber, typically in a standard 60 Shore A grade, the cord offers excellent flexibility, compression recovery, and environmental resistance.
It performs consistently in extreme conditions, withstanding temperatures typically from around -60°C up to +200°C, while also offering strong resistance to UV, ozone, moisture, and general weathering.
Its smooth, non-reactive surface makes it suitable for hygienic environments, and it is widely used for creating O-rings, gaskets, seals, and vibration-damping components in both static and dynamic applications.
Alongside the standard 60 Shore A material, our silicone cord can be supplied in a range of specialist grades to meet more demanding performance requirements. These include metal detectable silicone for food and pharmaceutical production lines where contamination control is critical, high temperature grades for environments exposed to prolonged heat, and high tear strength compounds for applications involving mechanical stress or repeated compression.
