Platinum Cured Silicone Sheet 60 Shore
Platinum-cured silicone and peroxide-cured silicone differ mainly in their curing processes and resulting properties. Platinum-cured silicone, also known as addition-cured, uses a platinum catalyst that produces no byproducts, resulting in a cleaner, higher-purity material ideal for medical, pharmaceutical, and food-grade applications. It offers excellent clarity, flexibility, and resistance to aging and UV exposure. In contrast, peroxide-cured silicone relies on organic peroxides, which create byproducts that may require post-curing. While slightly less pure and more opaque, peroxide-cured silicone is cost-effective and well-suited for industrial, automotive, and general-purpose uses.
Silicone rubbers are rubber compounds with both organic and inorganic properties, as well as highly pure fumed silica as two main components. They possess many characteristics which are not present in other organic rubbers and have important roles in numerous industries, such as electrical, electronics, automobiles, food, medical, household appliances and leisure products.
