Our range of silicone sponge cord is a flexible, closed-cell sealing material designed for applications where a soft, highly compressible seal is needed. Its cellular structure allows it to deform easily under light pressure, making it especially effective for sealing irregular gaps or uneven mating surfaces. Because it is made from silicone, it also retains strong resistance to UV, ozone, moisture, and temperature extremes, ensuring dependable performance in exposed or demanding environments.

Operating across a wide temperature range, typically from -60°C to +200°C, silicone sponge cord maintains its resilience even after repeated compression cycles. This makes it suitable for use in applications such as enclosure sealing, lightweight gasketing, and vibration or cushioning elements where consistent recovery is important.

The material is usually supplied in a standard density, though firmer or softer variations can be made available depending on the sealing force required. Its ease of handling and flexibility also makes it convenient for cutting and forming into custom gasket shapes, offering a practical solution for both maintenance and fabrication work.

We have silicone sponge cord stocked from 2mm diameter up to 25mm diameter, but we can produce any size up to 50mm diameter.
